On the off chance that you need an excuse to ride somewhere new, the ABCs of Touring Contest provides reasons from A to Z (and cool prizes, too). Participants earn points by submitting photographs of themselves and their Harleys® in front of official signs while holding a copy of HOG® Magazine. The idea is to visit cities, towns, and counties beginning with as many different letters of the alphabet as possible. At the end of each year, valuable prizes are awarded to the entrants who have earned the most points, and the names of the top winners appear in HOG® Magazine and on the Members Only site. Ladies, here"s your chance to share your fondest riding memories and win prizes in the process. The Ladies of Harley® Motorcycling Memories contest is an annual contest open to all Ladies of Harley members (LOH membership is free to active H.O.G.® members). Contestants submit a one-page story recounting their favorite motorcycling experience, along with a quality color photograph of themselves and their Harley®. Prizes are awarded in three categories (Most Memorable, Most Adventurous, and Best Tour). Winners will be announced on the Members Only site. This NEW & IMPROVED programme is more rewarding than ever! But it is as simple as ever to take part. Awards now begin at just 1,000 miles, with additional awards earned at 5,000 and 10,000 miles and beyond. All just for the fun of riding your Harley-Davidson® motorcycle! Pins, patches and motorcycle medallions are awarded to H.O.G.® members for riding their Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. Anywhere H.O.G.® members come together, whether it"s a rally or a chapter gathering, you"re bound to find a vast array of pins and patches proudly displayed on jackets and vests. Some mark participation in a rally or tour. Some indicate membership in a local chapter. Others may honor an accomplishment or celebrate a holiday. But there"s one thing they all have in common: public display of H.O.G.® pride. By joining H.O.G.®, you have many opportunities to earn a wide variety of pins and patches. However you get them, the effect is the same. Every pin and patch has a story behind it. So when you"re at a rally or chapter gathering, even if it"s one where you don"t know anybody (yet), you"ll always have something to talk about.

To encourage you to ride safely, after successful completion of an accredited motorcycle safety rider training course, members will receive a pin and a patch featuring the Safe Rider Skills logo. You must be a member (full or associate) at the time of class. Local chapters can get involved, as well. When at least 12 members of a single chapter complete an accredited course during a single calendar year and submit their individual certificates to H.O.G.®, the chapter receives a laser-engraved Safe Rider Skills chapter plaque. We care about safety because we care about you. And we want you to enjoy your H.O.G.® membership for a long, long time. It"s not the destination, it"s the journey. But sometimes the destination is far enough away to make the journey too much to handle. Or there"s just not enough time to ride there, ride while you"re there, and ride home. That"s when it makes sense for you and your ride to travel separately. You can now ride your favorite Harley-Davidson® motorcycle in overseas rallies and distant locales by arranging the transportation of your motorcycle through the H.O.G.® Overseas Motorcycle Shipping Service. We offer a range of transportation systems that have been designed exclusively for shipping Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. We will arrange one-way or roundtrip transportation of your motorcycle, riding gear, and luggage to your final destination, taking care of all customs regulations and procedures. If you are concerned about being left stranded while riding your Harley-Davidson® motorcycle, following a incident, then Hog Assistance® may be just what you need. Hog Assistance® is a roadside rescue and recovery facility, providing you with a 24-hours-a-day / 365-days-a-year back up. Hog Assistance® can respond in the cases of breakdown, accident, tyre puncture, lack of fuel and even loss of keys. In these cases, H.O.G.® Assistance will arrange for your rescue as quickly as they possibly can. Your motorcycle can be recovered and then taken to the nearest official Harley-Davidson® dealer for repairs to be carried out. In cases of lack of fuel, a simple roadside "fill up" can be arranged. (Charges apply for fuel costs). If the dealer is not open for business, the motorcycle can be taken into secure storage and then delivered to the dealer on the next working day. Where appropriate, overnight hotel accommodation can be arranged and settled by H.O.G.® Assistance, or alternate transport to your destination, dependent on your circumstances. Rescues and accommodation apply to rider and pillion. Transport costs are met, in respect of the journey back to the dealer to collect the vehicle once repairs have been made. Please note that H.O.G.® Assistance does not pay for the cost of repairs to your motorcycle. Hog Assistance does not restrict either the number or duration of trips on foreign tours, and there is no vehicle age restriction applicable. H.O.G.® Assistance RIDEPACK provides you with all the benefits of H.O.G.® Assistance, but gives you an extra option. If your motorcycle cannot be repaired within 24 hours when travelling outside your country of residence, or by the end of the same working day if you are in your own country, then you can elect to have the motorcycle transported to your own "home" dealer near to your residence, for repairs. Rider and pillion rescue to home are included too. This option is available at a higher cost. Please enquire for details.
